The Coalition to Increase Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers in Minnesota is seeking nominations for its Core Steering Committee (CSC) for when we have openings.  The CSC provides direction and structure to the Coalition and its activities.

 

We are looking for committed, passionate advocates with initiative who are willing to commit about 5-10 hours each month to work collaboratively with a lively team of diverse educators towards a common purpose. We are especially interested in nominations of teachers and teacher candidates who are of color or American Indian. If you know someone or you are interested in joining the leadership of the Coalition, please email info@tocaimn.com.  Thank You!

 

A commitment to serving on the CSC includes, but is not limited to, participating in monthly meetings (currently via Zoom the 2nd Saturday morning each month, 9-11am).  After participating in three CSC meetings, nominees and the CSC jointly decide whether the nominee becomes an official member of the CSC.
