We need your action and help getting others to act. Listed below in order of priority are key legislative leaders we need contacted by as many people as possible between now and May 6.  Contacting one person would take less than 2 minutes with the sample message linked for their name.

  1. Email or leave a voicemail for the  legislative committee Chairpersons briefly urging each to strongly support the full Increase Teachers of Color Act

  2. Contact Committee Members and urge them to support the Increase Teachers of Color Act (see members from Committee links to the right -->)

***IF you live in a committee members' legislative district, let them know in your message the town/city where you live and consider asking for a 10-15 minute virtual meeting to discuss your views.

  3. Record a short video why you urge legislators to pass the Increase Teachers of Color Act (it's fun & easy!)

  4. Contact the Coalition to testify virtually for 2-3 minutes at a committee hearing about our bill.

  5. Contact your own state senator and representative urging their support of the Increase Teachers of Color Act

  6. Contact the Senate Majority Leader, House Speaker and Governor urging them to fully support the Increase Teachers of Color Act

  7. Encourage High/Middle School Youth to Make their Voices Heard and participate in our Youth Social Media Influencer Contest

  8. Persuade at least 3 other people you know to advocate for the Increase Teachers of Color Act by engaging in action items #1-7, too.
